Each platter is slowly hand built and illustrated one at a time, with careful attention given to every stage of the process. Layered slips, carved details, and thoughtfully applied glazes bring each illustration to life, while the firing process reveals the subtle variations and unexpected moments that make every piece entirely its own.
Because of their size and the intricacy of their surfaces, these platters require particular care throughout drying, glazing, and firing.
Designed to be both beautiful and useful, these pieces are equally at home displayed as decorative objects or used for serving. Due to the raised and recessed details of the relief illustrations, they are best suited for plating and serving foods that don't require cutting directly on the surface. To preserve the artwork, please avoid using knives or other sharp utensils against the illustrated areas.

The Gifts of Imperfection:
Each piece is made by hand, with all the character and individuality that comes with it. Subtle variations in shape, size, glaze, and finish are a natural part of the process, reflecting the materials, the firing, and the human hands behind the work. These variations are part of what makes each piece uniquely its own.
